Food for the Expedition
Here are some examples of food for an expedition. There could as many different lists as there are people.

Reynald:
Breakfast
Oatmeal, home-made dehydrated breakfasts with couscous, rice, brown sugar, cinnamon, strawberries or cherries, raisins, and walnuts. Also chocolate/cocoa for drinks.
Lunch/snacks
dehydrated tuna or salmon, dehydrated home-made dishes like chicken/rice or mashed potatoes with mixed vegetables and spices (add water the night before + olive oil before eating), trail mix, dehydrated fruit, energy bars, turkey or beef jerkey. Also bagles, cheese, salami for first week on the mountain.
Dinner
Freeze-dried dinners (chicken, turkey, beef stroganoff) with added carbohydrates (rice, couscous, mashed potatoes), ramen noodles, instant soup, dehydrated desserts - can be home-made too (cheesecake, apple & cinnamon tart, etc.), cider or tea for drinks.
Food weight is expected to be between 35 and 40 pounds for me (just under 2 lbs per day). I think it'll be difficult to be much under that.
